Row Smarter
Row Smarter turns an iPad or iPhone into a rowing computer with readable live metrics, supported force curves, workouts, adaptable plans and detailed session review.
It works with SmartRow, Concept2 PM5 and FTMS rowers. Your history can sync through your private iCloud storage, and no Row Smarter account is required.
Concept2 ErgData
ErgData is Concept2's free PM5 companion and connects directly to the Concept2 Online Logbook, rankings, challenges and seasonal events. Row Smarter does not upload directly to that Logbook; you can export a TCX file and upload it yourself.
RowsAndAll
RowsAndAll is a web tool for reviewing indoor and on-water rowing from several data sources. Row Smarter focuses on live indoor rowing and keeps the resulting session available in the app.
EXR
EXR offers virtual courses, avatars, events and 3D rowing. Row Smarter focuses on live numbers, stroke feedback, workouts, plans and pace boats.
ErgZone
ErgZone offers workouts from coaches and communities, challenges and connections to other services. Row Smarter includes its own workout library and eight multi-week plans without requiring an account.
The stock WaterRower S4 or S5 monitor
The monitor built into the machine shows core rowing measurements without another device. A WaterRower fitted with SmartRow can use Row Smarter for a larger display, force curves, workouts and saved history.
Try it
Row Smarter is in open beta on TestFlight, free, on iPad and iPhone. The App Store comes next and there is no promised date on it.
Every Pro feature is free during the TestFlight beta. To unlock Pro, you need to complete a simulated in-app purchase through Apple's purchase screen. Apple controls this test process in its sandbox environment: no money is exchanged and you will not be charged, even if a price is displayed. These test purchases do not carry over to the App Store version.
